The Crystal Mask: Rockabay 2009

Hey bloggie,

i went to this gig called "rockabay" at capsquare KL a couple of days back.

its been almost a day + since the gig.

my body is still aching from it.

thanks to Band 'Restraint' I mosh'ed until i can't mosh anymore that night.

though my body still hurts until now.

its nothing compare to the memory of going to a gig like this one!

Here's a short description on how the day went:

okay,

woke up at 10 something.

arrived at the capsquare around 1 p.m

once there the gig really have not started yet, so i, lynda and amel went inside the capsquare and have a look around.

there was nothing much except for a TGV cinema.

so, we went to the 4th floor to sit around but the organizers seems to be giving away free t-shirts, stickers and poster.

we rushed down and

hey what do u know.

we met Mikki there!

yayyy fate!

haha.

(also his sister anne and her hotcuteinnocentlookinglyhardcore fren)

after a few rounds of pushing and ramming the crowd in front of this counter,

i managed to get 3 t-shirts for us 3 and mikki got 3 also.

then all 6 of us went up to the 4th floor inside capsquare (again) to sit around while the gig starts.

a little snapsnap and i saw there's people rushing towards the platform.

"Weyh, gig da start dowh. gerak ah jom!"

so we went down there and didn't leave until 8 p.m.

introduction ends.

first up was the band car crash test.
they play rock alternative.
it was okay.

i'll give them 5/10.

Second band was Medusa.
They play hardcore.
They were really good!
i think their song arrangement was unpredictable and surprising.
reminds me a lot of 'Drop Dead, Gorgeous'

i'll gladly give them 8/10.

the third one was deng deng etc. a chinese hardcore band.
yes,
they're chinese and the vocalist can scream and growl very well!
how do i know this?
coz he freaking sang a chinese song man!

it was a 5/10 performance.

then after these opening acts i forgot what comes up next.

but let me give my rating for the bands i managed to watch.

bunkface 7/10

the times (x tgk sgt coz sabah mabuk bodoh)

Bittersweet 8/10

estranged (x tgk gak sebab sabah bodoh ank haram jijik!)

seven collar t-shirt 10/10 !!

couple 9/10

cassandra 9/10

RESTRAINT 20/10 !!!

i missed pesawat, pop shuvit, one buck short and love me butch.

i fucking came there to watch LMB but i missed them.

ARGHH!!!

curse you transportation that takes up time!

haha.

the gig couldn't be any better.

not to mention the time i get to spend with lynda.

and not to mention the hotties that came.

O_O

a total eye-bulging experience duh!

haha.

Oh!

did mention about this chick moshing all alone?

she looks like the vocalist of paramore!

and she's REALLY COOL SHIA!!!

haha!

mikki had to leave sooner because he gotta settle some other stuff before going back to UiTM.

all in all.

its an experience unlike any other.
